Back in art school digital photography was something you only heard about. Rumors of newspaper stringers and large product studios using these mystical cameras for either super low-resolution work (newspaper) or high-resolution inanimate objects like a Nike Air Jordan. We were all still shooting film, so much film I’m pretty sure my lab fees were higher than my actual tuition.

Today we’re jumping into a short but important topic, the Q Menu of Fujifilm cameras. Known simply as Q or Quick Menu, this is an opportunity to layout your most changed settings you’d like quick access too. There is a lot of information out there already about JPG and film simulation settings. While useful for the everyday Fujifilm user, we’re going to set our Q menu a to help us shoot faster and more efficiently.

Every once in a while, there’s a camera that truly sends waves through the photographic industry. Something that transcends the technical specifications and pixel peeping that we all do as photographers. The new Fuji GFX100 II is that camera.
